Move to Taba by a modern air-conditioned vehicle. After that you'll move to Taba Heights marina, to take the boat to Aqaba, where you will meet our representative, then transfer directly to Petra. Petra is situated about 3 hours south of Amman, 1 hour north of Aqaba, 1 and half hour from the Dead Sea which is called the Dead Sea because nothing lives in it. It is one of the saltiest waters anywhere in the world, almost six times as salty as the ocean.
Petra is surrounded by towering hills of rust-colored sandstone which gave the city some natural protection against invaders. In Petra, get excited by the dazzling Red Rose Rock City, the city of the Nabateans, the lost city, all carved in the mountains, riding horse to the Siq (canyon), the natural crack in the rocks to the Roman Theater, Royal Tombs, the Roman colonnaded street, Qasr Al-Bent and then the archaeological museum. Enjoy your lunch, then back to Aqaba city for a short city tour and free time for shopping. Back to drive back to Dahab.
