Day 1:Pyramids / Egyptian Museum
You will be transferred from your hotel in
Hurghada or El Gouna by an air conditioned coach for two days trip to
Cairo and the famous Giza Plateau to visit the Pyramids of
Cheops,
Chephren and Mykerinus, which were named by the Greeks to be one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Great
Sphinx and the
Valley Temple. Next we will move onto the
Egyptian Museum which features artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to
Tutankhamun collection of treasure, gold and jewelry which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920s when his tomb was excavated. After that you will be transferred to the hotel for check-in and overnight stay.
Day 2:Salah El Din Citadel / Old Cairo / Khan El Khalili
Pay a visit to
Salah El Din Citadel which was constructed by Salah El Din on the Moqattam hills in 1183 AD to defend Cairo from the armies of Crusaders. After that visit
Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque which was designed by the architect Yousif Boushnaq, a Turkish man who came especially from Istanbuland built this great mosque for Mohamed Ali, the ruler of
Egypt (1805-1849) who ruled Over 45 years. Then proceed to
Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of the most famous and oldest bazaars in the Middle East. After that Visit
Old Cairo where you will enjoy, the
Hanging Church,
Ben Ezra Synagogue,
Church of St. Barbara,
Church of Abu Serga . Back to
Hurghada.
